Clare O'Nolan supports individuals to meet some of the psychological challenges of everyday life - providing counselling for clients dealing with issues such as; stress, anxiety, relationship problems, loss and bereavement, post-abuse trauma, low self-esteem and depression.

Talking over problems in a safe and confidential space allows clients to see things differently, and to develop strategies for coping better with life. Counselling can also help clients to grow in self-awareness and to see how their childhood and past events have shaped them. This in turn makes it easier to regulate emotional responses and maintain good mental health despite life’s ups and downs.

Since 2015 Clare has also provided a special service, Counselling for Carers, for those responsible for long- or short-term care of another person. Carers face a wide range of responsibilities and worries with little time for meeting their own needs. A self-care routine including regular counselling sessions can provide enormous benefit.

Clare is a qualified and experienced counsellor and psychotherapist accredited with the IACP. She uses an integrated approach as appropriate for each client, including cognitive behaviour therapy, person-centered therapy and psychodynamic methods.

Therapy sessions take place in the Mind-Body Health and Wellbeing Centre in Wicklow which is convenient, private and tranquil.
